Wedding FAQ
Everything you need to know about our Great South Wedding.
We've gathered these answers to clear up any lingering questions.
The Celebration
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?
The ceremony begins promptly at 2pm. We recommend guests arrive at least 30 minutes early to find their seats and soak in the atmosphere.
THE DRESS CODE
Our focus is on everyone having a great time. Feel free to dress up but most importantly be your comforatable selves... I've no doubt my sister will turn up in her Oodie
ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?
We love your little ones and they are absolutely welcome to join our celebration. We only ask you keep a close eye on them so they don't get trampled by the masses.
Alternatively treat yourself to a well-deserved night off!
IS THERE A WEDDING REGISTRY?
Your presence is the greatest gift and all that we really want.
If you still wish to give anything, a contribution to our honeymoon as we start our next chapter together, would be appreciated.
WHEN SHOULD I RSVP BY?
Please let us know if you can join us by end of March 2026. You can submit your response via the RSVP form on the homepage of this site.
DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
Please mention any allergies or dietary requirements when you RSVP, we'll do our best to accommodate.
The Grounds
Is there parking available at the venue?
Yes, we have a dedicated parking area onsite. As much as we want this to feel like Glastonbury we couldn't acquire sufficient mud or space to exhaust you.
Guests are welcome to leave cars overnight as long as they are collected by 11 am the next morning.
Parking is a little limited, so car sharing will be appreciated where possible.
Is the barn accessible for all guests?
Absolutely, the ceremony and reception in the barn features step-free access and wide doorways.
What happens if it rains on the day?
Our venue has a roof and with any luck we'll have a fire under the stars in the evening... but I'd still pack a rain coat
What about wedding photos?
We have a great friend Paavo taking photos, however he is a guest and it's most important to us that he can enjoy the wedding. Please help us out by taking photos and sharing them with us afterwards.

The All Important BAR!
What's available?
Can I smuggle my own booze?
What are the prices?
We're yet to confirm specifics, but there will be at least:
- Two ales
- Two ciders
- Two lagers
- Wines
- Prosecco
No need for smuggling, you're welcome to bring your own spirits, wines, mixers and put it behind the bar.
We ask that cans/bottles are kept to a minimum to prevent too much mess and we'll have a selection of ale/lager/cider available at the bar.
The bar will be taking cash donations only.
We appreciate any donations to help cover costs, however there's no obligation to pay a penny.
Getting Here
Where should we stay?
What's the nearest public transport?
The venue has a dedicated camping area for those feeling adventurous and if you're not able to bring your own tent/camper we are offering a limited number of bell tents which you can select in the RSVP.
For those not wishing to camp under the stars, there are a range of hotels available in the surrounding towns; Faversham, Ashford and Canterbury.
The location itself is remote so a taxi will be required from the surrounding towns and cities.
Faversham is the nearest train station and is a 15min taxi from the venue:

Is there parking on-site?
How do we book late-night transport?
Yes, we have limited free parking onsite available at the Great South Wedding Barn. Guests are welcome to leave their vehicles overnight, provided they are collected by 11 AM the following morning.
Please car share where possible to save late comers having a hike.
Taxis should be booked in advance for midnight pickups as the barn is in a rural location.
